ISDN Packages Descriptions

BellSouth, in partnership with other telecommunications companies, hardware manufacturers and vendors, has developed 5 ISDN packages. Basic ISDN (also called Capability Package S), in combination with other popular calling features, forms our EZ packages. These calling features include Call Forwarding and the ISDN equivalent to Three-way Calling. Our most popular ISDN offering is our EZ1 package.

Our combined efforts with hardware manufacturers make it easier than ever for you to order ISDN for your specific hardware components such as your terminal adapter and ISDN telephone set. Both the terminal adapter and ISDN telephone set are similar to a modem and regular telephone, but they are digital.

These preconfigured packages make ordering and installation faster and easier.


		BellSouth offers five ISDN Packages

		Basic ISDN: Capability Package S EZ1: ISDN EZ1A: ISDN with Voice Mail Facilitators EZ2: ISDN with Additional Telephone Numbers EZ2A: ISDN with Additional Numbers and Voice Mail Facilitators

		Basic ISDN: Capability Package S

		This package provides you with basic ISDN capabilities, which can be used for faster Internet surfing, high-speed data transfer, and basic voice applications. It includes 2 communication channels and provides Caller ID Number Delivery.

		EZ1: ISDN

		The EZ1 package provides you with ISDN and several features to help you take full advantage of it. These features include Multiple Call Handling, Call Forwarding Variable, Caller ID - Number Delivery, and flexible calling features such as Call Hold, Conferencing, and Call Transfer.

		EZ1A: ISDN with Voice Mail Facilitators

		The EZ1A package gives you all the features of EZ1, with call forwarding features. Use Call Forward - Busy Line and Call Forward - No Answer to send calls to a voice mail system, such as BellSouth^® MemoryCall^® Voice Mail service, when you can't answer the phone yourself. EZ1A also includes the Visual Message Waiting Indicator, a visual display on your ISDN equipment that alerts you of new voice-mail messages. A voice mail box is not included in this package, however, BellSouth^® MemoryCall^® Voice Mail service can be purchased from BellSouth.

		EZ2: ISDN with Additional Telephone Numbers

		The EZ2 ISDN package offers all the features of EZ1, plus two additional secondary phone numbers associated with the first of your two primary telephone numbers, for a total of four.

		EZ2A: ISDN with Additional Numbers and Voice Mail Facilitators

		The EZ2A package includes all the feature of EZ1A, plus two additional secondary phone numbers associated with the first of your two primary telephone numbers, for a total of four. A voice mail box is not included in this package, however, MemoryCall Voice Mail Service can be purchased from BellSouth.
